Disadvantages of buying from HelloGreen?

While HelloGreen’s online store has a number of great products which can help you to reduce waste, there are some disadvantages about buying from HelloGreen.

  •  Even if you qualify for free shipping for a large order, there may be a surcharge for large orders or orders outside metropolitan areas on the east coast. The website does not specify how much the surcharge is, so you would not know until you made the purchase.
  •  The website is difficult to navigate. HelloGreen has a wide variety of products, but you have to know what to look for. While I was searching the site, I found that they sold reusable face masks and insect repellent, but it is impossible to know what category they belong to. For example, the kitchen category features clothes pegs and hand sanitiser which I did not expect. If you are searching by product because you want to buy a lunchbox (one of their main products) for example, you may find it difficult to find exactly what you want since the Lunch Box page also features gel coolers, replacement parts, and silicon cups.
  •  Not all of their products are Australian made. Although the company is an Australian one, many of their products are not. For those customers who wish to reduce their carbon footprint, it would be very useful if HelloGreen listed which products were Australian made and where the other products were produced. In order to find out where the products were manufactured, I had to take the time to go to the websites of the brands.

Conclusion

Buying from HelloGreen will allow you to reduce the amount of plastic you use in your daily life. Reusable products help to reduce waste. HelloGreen is an Australian online store which stocks a large number of good quality toxin-free eco-friendly brands, but customers may find it difficult to find products on this website. Not all of the products sold on this website are Australian made, but HelloGreen has done the hard work in selecting good quality products from Australia or abroad. It is worth going to the HelloGreen website if you are interested in finding ways to reduce waste and to avoid products containing toxins.
